Quaint small-town restaurant in a Scandinavian design. Good food in large portions and killer pies. A definite must stop if you are anywhere near.
We end up going to the Nook quite a bit. It is a great place to eat and you can get award winning pie! My favorite dish there is probably the cranberry turkey sandwich. I always have a hard time selecting a piece of pie though, because they are all so delicious!
We went here for lunch on the way back from Milwaukee to North Dakota last week (second time eating here!) The food is delicious and it's such a cute environment. Our waitress, Marlene, was WONDERFUL!! She was attentive but not overbearing, and so dang thoughtful. She brought out applesauce for my one year old (I didn't order him anything, just had him snacking off my plate) and she asked me quietly if I wanted my 5 year olds pancakes with or without chocolate chips. And she hid the cookies in a napkin so he didn't see them when our food was ready, so I could choose when to give them to him. She was so considerate and sweet and one of the best waitresses I've ever had! I highly recommend Norse Nook!! But if you come right at lunch, it will be a little bit of wait since everyone else knows how good this place is, too!! :)
If you are a fan of pie, look no further! This is the place for just about any kind of pie you can imagine and further, every single bite is like a piece of heaven rolling across your tastebuds. The other great news is that now they will literally ship their pies to nearby states. Pie is good...
This little out of the way restaurant is worth finding. Good food, with friendly service, but the trip is worth it just for their pies. They have 6 full time bakers and have won many awards. Take a whole pie, or just a slice to go. There is an entire page single spaced with lists of all the pies they have to offer!
